Little Things

It has been a long time once again! The world seems to be spinning out of control and who knows where it will end up. Lately, I find myself thinking about the little things, the details, the simple gestures that can change someone's day around. In the US, we are drawn to big, bold, disruptive, wild things. These things are exciting and whether for positive or negative reasons, we get sucked in.
Try breaking away from scrolling or scowling and smile at the person walking by. It doesn't matter if you know them or not, they will react, most of the time, they will smile back, even if they don't, you have tried and that is a great step. If smiling at strangers isn't your thing, maybe you can bring candy to work or pick someone up from an appointment, anything that shows you value the people around you. We can choose little things, big things can't always be chosen.
Cheers to you!
