Summer has been full of adventure and cleaning projects!!! I recently came back from visiting Costa Rica for the first time with my family. My husband and 2 kids and my brother, his wife and 2 kids. We experienced "pure vida" in an amazing way. We zip-lined (yes, even me), hiked, visited the Baruka tribe up in the mountains, saw a sloth climb down so he could do his "business" on the ground, hung out with the monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds, iguanas, and watched some crocodiles from afar. It was a great trip, although getting there and back was quite an ordeal. It took us about about 22 hours to get there and 18 to get back (it is only about a 5 1/2 hour flight...). We had endless delays at the Ft. Lauderdale airport, but, it let to an impromptu performance at the airport, which was very fun!
I have a few new tunes coming, and have enjoyed performing with friends this summer in some cool venues which have been new to me.
While it may be hard to believe, one of the highlights of my summer has been cleaning out my basement. It is now full of glorious space ahhhhh!!!!
A personal goal of mine has been to go from jack of all trades to master of something. Fortunately, the author and entrepreneur Jordan Raynor, just wrote a book called Master of One, which I am devouring. His writing is on point, once this book is available for sale (in about 6 months), trust that it is a worthy read!!
Hanging out in my office, braids make an ordinary day feel way more fun!!!!
Happy summer!!!!
