Stuck

2020! What I thought was going to be an adventure has gone beyond my wildest expectations. It has provided adventure, but not in the way anyone could have anticipated.

I have heard people say how much they are looking forward to 2021, but, honestly, 2020 has been good to us. We have been reminded of how fragile we are (Sting ❤️), we have learned to open our eyes and see what is going on around us, to participate, to embrace the quiet, “stay home” days, make dinner and spend time with family, the loud days of protest and debate, and the days we were called to help out, to sacrifice for and consider other people. I know there has been pain and suffering, and I am sorry for that, but, there always is. That is a part of life, right now, we are just seeing it more, or being effected by it in a personal way. Being a Christian, a wife, a mom, an singer/songwriter, a music teacher, bartender, and performer is busy. I couldn’t have imagined in a million years that I could just STOP!!! I dreamed of being able to stop, slow down, quit running all over, being still. It was like a gift. I cherished those days in quarantine, having my whole pack in one place, being able to practice more, do some painting and renovating, finishing projects....ahhh, the stuff dreams are made of! lol.

By the end of June, I had to go back to work. I was actually bummed! Grateful, but bummed.

I do look forward to 2021, but, life isn’t measured by the calendar, it is made up of moments. Every day offers moments that are unique and unexpected. I hope and pray I can embrace them. That I can always find the good in the rough stuff, and I hope you will too. Sending love and hugs.

This was in the sky as I walked out of the grocery store! Moments...

This is what I saw when I went to pick up my son from practice. 2020 rainbows!! No editing!
